PROVE US WRONG

A nationwide theoretical challenge.

A public falsification challenge.

Every claim is presented with its full justification.

The audience decides what holds — and what's

bullshit.

Every contribution becomes part of the peer-reviewed City AGI Report.

An evening of provocation, falsification, and the questions the AI field has never asked.

This event is not for the thin-skinned. It's for the ones who suspect we're not on the right track — and aren't afraid to hear why.

Believing you can engineer something science has no understanding of may be the ultimate definition of stupidity.

An evening where we challenge everything. If it's not grounded in science, we will expose it. And if we're wrong, prove us wrong. Don't hold back — in science, you punch as hard as you can if you believe you're right.
Nine statements spanning physics, intelligence, economics, governance, and geopolitics. Each open to be disproven. Nobody has yet.
Every contribution becomes part of the peer-reviewed City AGI Report.

The Event

This is not a conference.
It's a research preview.

This event is a public preview of original AGI research — work that spans physics, intelligence theory, economics, and governance. The goal isn't about who is right or wrong. It's about challenging assumptions that have gone unquestioned for decades and viewing AGI from non-traditional perspectives — grounded in physics, not hype.

GEA's research stems from direct experience with Department of Defense AGI efforts and nearly three decades of research into the physics of intelligence. What you'll hear is a fundamentally different view of intelligence than the one driving Silicon Valley — grounded in physics, not pattern matching.

Our guest speakers aren't here to echo the industry narrative — and they aren't here for a free pass either. Each one brings a perspective on AGI that challenges the dominant approach, and each one is subject to the same audience challenge as we are. If you want to hear what the mainstream isn't saying — and watch every position get stress-tested live — this is the room.

Challenge

A public falsification challenge

This isn't a keynote. Nine statements are presented live — each one built on the last, each one grounded in physics. The full logical chain is shown. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is hand-waved.

Participate

The audience is expected to break it

Every statement is open to challenge by anyone in the room. If any link in the chain breaks, the rest fall with it. No appeals to authority. No consensus arguments. Only logic.

A scientific foundation for AI

AI is the only engineering field in history that has never had a science. This event introduces one — and asks the world to prove us wrong.

Speaker Invitation

We are seeking speakers who have discovered fundamental limitations, overlooked downsides, or unsolved problems in current AI that prevent it from reaching AGI — or who are conducting original AGI research outside the mainstream scaling paradigm. Fair warning: you will be subject to the same challenge as we are. Come ready to defend your position.

Think the scaling hypothesis will get us to AGI? We will use hard science to show why that is fundamentally incorrect. And you get a chance to prove us wrong.

The Output

Every event produces a peer-reviewed scientific publication. Every contribution is assessed against empirical and theoretical scientific standards and becomes part of the permanent scientific record on AGI.

Publication

City AGI Report

Every contribution at each event is assessed against empirical and theoretical scientific standards, documented in a peer-reviewed publication, and becomes part of GEA's permanent record of where AGI research stands — measured by science, not benchmarks.

A cumulative yearly synthesis of every City AGI Report — GEA's science-grounded counterpart to industry AI reports. Where AGI research actually stands when measured by the scientific standing of its contributions rather than by capital flows or market projections.

City AGI Report

The City AGI Report is the formal scientific output of each "This Is AGI. Prove Us Wrong." event. After every tour stop, GEA publishes a peer-reviewed report documenting the contributions made by the presenters, the audience challenges raised against them, and the scientific standing of each position.

The report is not a transcript, and it is not a prediction. It does not claim to know which approach will eventually produce AGI, because that question remains genuinely open. What the report does is describe how well each contribution is grounded in empirical evidence and established theoretical principles at the time of publication.

A position may be characterized as having strong scientific backing. It may rest on a coherent theoretical framework that has yet to be empirically tested. It may rely on engineering results without an underlying scientific account of why those results should lead to general intelligence. Or it may rest on no identifiable scientific basis at all — in which case the report will say so, plainly, and explain that there is currently nothing in the scientific record to support the claim that the approach leads toward AGI.

That last category matters. Much of the present AGI conversation consists of approaches whose proponents assert a path to general intelligence without offering a scientific account of why that path should work. The City AGI Report treats those assertions as what they are: industry positions, not scientific findings. It does not claim they are wrong. It claims, accurately, that there is no current scientific basis to call them right.

Each report is reviewed by a standing board of named researchers before publication. The board is public. The methodology is public. The reviewers sign their work. Readers can see exactly who assessed each contribution and on what grounds.

Before publication, every presenter receives the review board's assessment of their contribution and is offered the opportunity to submit a written response. Responses are published alongside the assessment in the report itself, so readers can see both the reviewers' characterization and the presenter's reply.

The Seattle 2026 City AGI Report will be the first in the series, published in Fall 2026 following the June 26 event at Town Hall Seattle.

Annual Publication

Annual AGI Report

The Annual AGI Report is GEA's flagship publication: a peer-reviewed yearly synthesis of every City AGI Report produced during the preceding tour year. Where each City Report assesses the scientific standing of contributions made in one city, the Annual Report aggregates those findings into a single cumulative assessment of where the AGI conversation stands across the full year of events.

It exists because the existing annual AI publications do not ask the right questions. Industry reports measure capital deployed, parameters trained, benchmarks beaten, and products shipped. They are useful documents for investors and engineers, but they are not assessments of scientific progress toward general intelligence — because they take for granted that the current path leads there. The Annual AGI Report does not take that for granted, and it does not claim the opposite either.

Each edition characterizes the year's contributions across the full range of scientific standing. Some positions have strong scientific backing. Some rest on coherent theoretical frameworks awaiting empirical test. Some rely on engineering results without an underlying scientific account. And some — including, in many cases, the dominant approaches in the current AI industry — rest on no identifiable scientific basis for the claim that they lead to general intelligence. When the Annual Report finds that to be the case, it says so.

The Annual Report identifies which scientific questions advanced during the year, which remain open, and which the field is still refusing to ask. It documents where scientific arguments and AGI arguments appear to align, where they diverge, and where the evidence is genuinely insufficient to say either way.

Over time, the Annual AGI Report is intended to become a canonical reference for anyone who wants to understand the state of AGI research as a scientific question, separate from the commercial interests of the companies producing the technology. It does not tell readers which approach will eventually produce AGI. It tells them which approaches currently rest on defensible scientific ground, which do not, and where the open questions actually lie.

The first edition — the 2026 Annual AGI Report — will synthesize findings from every city on the 2026 tour and will be published in early 2027.

The Global Economic Alliance is an independent, nonpartisan think tank focused on the foundational questions the AI industry refuses to ask.

Our work spans two domains: the scientific and engineering foundations of AGI and ASI — what intelligence actually is as a physical phenomenon — and the economic, legal, and governance transformations that follow when cognition is no longer scarce.

We don't build AI products. We take on research engagements only when they are directly aligned with our mission. We study what intelligence is, what happens when it's engineered, and what it means for the civilization that created it.

We do not take money from special interest groups of any kind. Our funding comes from events where we share research and challenge the industry, and from mission-aligned research partnerships.
